I saw a post about SnK 5 and gg subs, andt wow. I don’t even.

After 5 episodes they’re still doing crappy translation that can be easily misunderstood by most people. I have a friend who initially thought that Mikasa was being narcissistic on the last screencap because he watched gg subs.

Previously, I would download all 3 subs version and watch all of them for comparison, but since ep 4 I stopped doing that because it’s hard to stomach it further. I don’t know what the hell they’re doing anymore.

If you want to understand this show better, or at least read a translation that is faithful in the manga scanlation, do yourself a favor and watch EveTaku subs instead.

I’m not saying that the manga scanlation is flawless, but from years of watching anime you should try listening to the dialogue and even if you’re not fluent with the JP language you’ll faintly realize that the subs by gg and commie doesn’t exactly match what they’re saying most of the time.

Or you could LEGALLY WATCH IT LITERALLY FOR FREE if you are in North America

It’s literally never been easier to support something with zero investment or effort. The official subs are doing a great job, and you can support the NA distribution, the original studio, AND the original creator with no financial obligation (OR you can subscribe for a really goddamn cheap amount- it’s been super worth it for me!)

I get that the free version’s a week behind. Even if you’re gonna watch the terrible adding-profanity-for-no-reason subs to get that immediate view (which I get! I’ve been there!), you can at LEAST go back and watch the legit version to give it another view and show your support.

Come on guys, anime/manga fans already have a bad rep. If you’re in North America (feel free to ignore this if you aren’t, I’ve had this conversation enough times to know that this doesn’t apply to everybody) !

Come on guys be responsible fans, support the companies and people making this show AND get quality subs what is there to lose here?
